Board of Review

The first meeting of the Board of Review occurs the thirty-day period beginning the second Monday in May. Board of Review is the formal opportunity for a property owner to request a hearing before the Board of Review. This Board of Review is a quasi-judicial body under state law. All witnesses speak under sworn testimony and may be subject to cross-examination. Property owners requesting a hearing shall contact the village clerk at least 48-hours in advance of the Board of Review to request a date and time for a hearing and to allow for proper notice to all parties involved. When appearing before the Board of Review, the person must specify in writing, an estimate of the land value and improvements that he or she is objecting to and also must specify the information that he or she used to arrive at that estimate.

Please check the calendar on the home page for the next Board of Review meeting.
