Volunteer Rural Transportation Program
The Manitowoc County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) has implemented a once a week transportation program for Mishicot (as well as many other Manitowoc County communities and all other surrounding areas).
We also provide out-of-County transportation for medical appointments and the rider is only charged by the mile. We follow the annual IRS mileage reimbursement rate and do charge for all miles from dispatch until the vehicle returns to the One-Stop-Shop. Ride reservations must be made at least 2-3 days prior to the appointment date.
This program is designed to provide rural elderly or disabled individuals access to a range of activities that contribute to their quality of life, including:
- Medical Appointments
- Shopping
- Nursing Home Visits
- Library Use
- Many Other Errands

More than one stop is allowed per ride.
The cost per round-trip is only $6.00.
